Saatingli Community lament over the sitting of Fuel station in the community by Alhaji Samba

There is growing public concern over the sitting of fuel Station at Saatingli in the Sagnarigu Municipality, by businessman, Alhaji Mohammed Bantima Samba who doubles as regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party.

According to the some concern residents in the area, the location of the fuel station which is closer to residential homes pose threat to lives and property.

The concerned residents of Saatingli in a press statement copied to Diamond News indicated that, despite the warning and advice from the National Petroleum Authority, (a copy which was attached to their statement,) to the Sagnarigu Municipal Assembly to put a stop to the construction of the said filling station, this had not been adhered to thereby putting those living around at a risk.

They claimed work is still ongoing at the site in spite of series of petitions they have presented to the authorities the concerned.

The Concerned residents of Saatingli are still appealing to the authorities at the Sagnarigu Municipal Assembly to exercise their constitutional mandate to put stop of the construction of fuel station close to their homes.

Larry Kombat is one of the concerned residents of Saatingli kicking against Chairman Samba’s sitting of a fuel station in their neighborhood.
