Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) Chairman Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamadu Rhyzo has retained his position as a member of the Black Satellites Management Committee.
After an eventful year where the national male Under 20 team, the Black Satellite won a double, the faith has again been put in the management committee for at least another year. The Black Satellites won the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B qualifying tournament hosted in Benin. They went ahead to win the African Youth Under 20 Championships hosted in Mauritania where Alhaj Rhyzo was part of the delegation alongside management committee chairman Dr. Randy Abbey.
The satellites defied the odds by winning two penalty shoot-outs in both tournaments, something that always looks unusual for Ghanaian national teams.
A news release on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) website on Thursday morning confirmed the retention of all the members of the satellites management committee including Alhaj Rhyzo.
The announcement also confirmed that chairman Dr. Randy Abbey will remain chairman of the committee.
