Kintampo FC suffered a double misery on Sunday when their properties were stolen by some heartless persons during their 1-0 defeat to Tamale City FC at the Alhaji Aliu Mahama Sports stadium.
Kintampo FC players belongings including mobile phones, brand new football boots and an undisclosed amount of money were stolen at their dressing room.
The team returned to the dressing room at halftime when they were down by 1-0 to their host Tamale City only to realise that thieves had broken into the dressing room from a broken window.
According to head coach of Kintampo FC Osman Yakubu Issah who spoke to Diamond Sports in an interview said the incident really affects his team psychologically in the second half of the game.
“Five of my players have complained of their missing items when we went on recess”, he stated.
“And that really affects their morale when we resumed for the second department of the game”, he noted.
Meanwhile, assistant head coach of Tamale City FC Hamza Mohammed condemn the incident and describe the unfortunate situation as “disgraceful” and “shameful”.
The former captain of the senior national team of the Black Stars urge the Police to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
The incident has since been reported to the police who are carrying out investigations.
