BLACK STARS BEGIN PREPARATIONS FOR LAST WORLD CUP QUALIFIER

Players of the senior men’s national football team, the Black Stars are in town ahead of the last Fifa World Cup qualifier on Sunday against the pharaohs of Egypt at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

About more than half of the players have reported for the game and were bussed to Cape Coast on Tuesday to begin preparations for the match.

With Egypt already snatching the only qualifying ticket in the group, the game is a mere formality.

Coach James Kwesi Appiah named 23 players for the assignment and has decided to pitch camp in Cape Coast 5 days before the tie.

Meanwhile, Egypt Head Coach Hector Cuper insists that his side will approach Sunday’s final World Cup qualifier against Ghana with all seriousness.

Cuper went further to say that the attitude and approach of his side would be a very professional one as every player has to earn a place in the squad ahead of next year’s World Cup.
