Yizesi Health Centre gets boost as Yagaba/Kubori MP Ussif Mustapha donates ambulance to facility

The state of readiness of the Yizesi Health Centre to respond to emergency situations was given a boost following the donation of an ambulance to the facility by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Yagaba/Kubori Honorable Mustapha Ussif.

The MP who is also Minister of Youth and Sports presented the fully equipped ambulance and medical consumables to the chiefs and people of Yizesi on Sunday May 28, 2023.

At the handover ceremony, Honorable Mustapha Ussif, expressed the hope that the donation of the vehicle would go a long way to address the health care challenges in the area.

This ambulance will serve, not just the Yizesi community, but also other neighbouring communities. It will also complement the constituency ambulance provided under the One Constituency One Ambulance initiative by the government, in responding to emergencies”.

He said, healthcare is critical to community development, and thus he is committed to facilitating the provision of facilities and equipment needed to improve healthcare delivery in the Yagaba/Kubori Constituency.

“On healthcare delivery, many other projects such as the agenda 111 hospital, Nurses’ quarters at Kpatorigu and Jadema, CHIPs compound at Zanwara, Children’s ward at Loagri No. 1, and Health College at Kubori among others are ongoing in the Constituency,” he stated.  

Mr. Mustapha Ussif, while revealing other interventions he intends to bring on board to alleviate the suffering of his people, also indicated that he has fully absorbed the cost for the NHIS registration among his people to improve access to health care delivery in his constituency.

In his remarks, the Mampurugu Moaduri District Health Director, Bukari Adam, said the ambulance had come at an appropriate time and would help prevent needless deaths, especially among pregnant women.

The Chief and people of Yizesi who could not hide the happiness, commended the MP for his several interventions in health and other sectors geared towards enhancing the well-being of the people.
