New Tamale Dakpemah enskinned.

The final funeral rites of the late Dakpema Alhaji Alhassan Dawuni, ended on Thursday 7^th March 2019, with a new person selected by the royal custodians of Dakpemali to be enskinned as the new Tamale Dakpema.

Fuseini Bawa a blacksmith from the Dagmaa gate, has thus been selected as Tamale Dakpema to lead Tamale metropolis and its environs, after the performance of the late Tamale Dakpema Alhaji Alhassan Dwuni

Fuseini Bawa aged 45, is the first surviving son of the late, Nba Bawa Alhassan who was regent to Dakpema Alhassan from Dagmaa family, and that qualified him to ascend to the Dakpema throne.

He is also expected to move in to the Dakpema palace on Friday after the performance of some rituals by the custodians of Dakpemali

Hundreds of people including family members and sympathisers in the Tamale metropolis thronged to the private residence of the New Dakpema Naa Fuseini Bawa to pay homage and congratulate him for his new role

Meanwhile the secretary to the new Dakpema Alhassan Fuseini popularly known as Zico, speaking to Diamond News, explained that the new Dakpema Naa Fuseini Bawa is a beacon of peace, therefore he will work towards sustaining peace and development in the Tamale metropolis and Dagbon at large.

He has however call on people within Tamale and its environs to support the current Dakpema as he is poised to unite and develop the area.

Tamale Dakpemali became vacant after the demise of Naa Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan Dawuni on 14 July, 2018.
