Regent of Mion donates Educational Materials in honor of late Mion-Lana Abdulai II

The regent of Mion traditional area His Royal Highness Abdulai Alhassan Tipariga, as part of activities to commemorate the life of his late father Mion Lana Mahamadu Abdulai II, has on Friday August 16, 2024, donated 500 copies of an inspirational book titled “Reflections, 50 Lessons at 50” by Dr. Mrs Linda Narhto to some selected schools.

The schools include the Yendi College of Health and Allied Sciences, St. Vincent College of Education, Sang Community Day Senior High School, Yendi Senior High School and Dagbon State Senior High/Technical School.

The donations were made to commemorate the life of his father, late Mion-Lana Abdulai II, who died on Tuesday 16th of August, 2022.

In his short remarks, the Regent, indicated that the gesture meant to reflect the legacies of his father. He said the late chief lived a life in touch with schools to enhance learning. “This life saw some projects and donations; including what he called “Back to School Project” which he used to annually donate educational materials to schools.

Representatives of the beneficiaries who could not hide their happiness in the schools thanked the regent for the gesture and promised to put the books into good use. They also pray for the late chief.
