Tamale City FC secures Goalkeeper Anthony Brebo from Nzema Kotoko
Tamale City has signed a new goalkeeper Anthony Brebo, to their squad ahead of the new season.
The former Hasaacas goalkeeper was signed as a new player on Thursday in Takoradi and is expected to help the club meet their goals for the 2024/25 season.
The 24-year-old signed a one-year contract after passing his first medicals and will join his new teammates for pre-season in Tamale.
Tamale City signed him from Tarkwa based side Nzema Kotoko FC. After Samuel Ababio, he is the 3rd player in the Tamale City setup.
He is Tamale City’s 3rd signing in this transfer window, following the acquisition of playmaker Samuel Ababio and striker Adam Ibrahim Yakubu all from Techiman Heroes FC.
Brebo has previously played for West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) in the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season and continue his stint with the club in the 2022/2023 Division One league before joining Nzema Kotoko last season.
He was been scouted by many Premier League clubs in Ghana and nearly joined Nations FC in Abrankese until he was snatched by the Tamale based side on Thursday.
Last season, Brebo made a remarkable 29 appearances for Nzema Kotoko, showcasing his talent and experience.
His addition is expected to be a valuable asset for Tamale City FC.
Tamale City will open the 2024/24 Division One League season when they play away from home against Victory Club Warriors in Wenchi.
