Pearlpia Ladies are crowned champions of the first edition of the Muslim Hijab Project Tournament after pipping Tamale Super Ladies 1-0 at the Stadium Game Center in Tamale.
Striker Alimatu Mbangba who made her debut for Pearlpia Ladies scored the only goal in the grand finale from a closer range after Rashida Shahadu went towards the bi-line and finds the former on-loan Bagabaga Ladies striker who tapped in beautifully at the back of the net to give Pearlpia the victory.
Shahadu Rashida was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament whereas Alima Iddris picked the Goal Queen award after scoring two goals at the end of the one day competition.
