Yendi Constituency Chairman of NPP suspends 184 members of the party

The Yendi Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nashiru Abdul Karim, has suspended 184 members of the party for breaching the party’s constitution.
The constituency chairman in a press statement copied to diamondfmonline.com, indicated, the decision was made in line with Article 3 Clause (9)(1), Clause (7)(1), and Clause (8)(1) of the party’s 2017 amended constitution.
He further stated that, “these decisions were made unanimously at an expanded Constituency Executive Committee meeting held on 23rd December, 2024. The composition of the meeting were Constituency Executives, Council of Elders, Council of Patrons and the Disciplinary Committee Members of the Party”.
He said the leadership of the party received several complaints from other party members against the said persons in a form of petitions for a breach of the party’s constitution.
“These petitions from the individuals were thoroughly deliberated and a resolution adopted at the end of the meeting in which adverse findings were established against certain individuals in the just ended presidential and parliamentary elections”.
