Two riders crashed along the Kakpayili-Lamashegu stretch in Tamale, on Monday morning, leaving the victims with varying degrees of injuries.
Both riders whose identities were unknown were rushed to the Tamale teaching Hospital with one of the crash victim; who is a commercial engine powered tricycle known as (yellow yellow), passing out after his skidded and landed his tricycle together with its passengers into a large drainage along the route.
An Eye witnesses, Iddi Salifu told Diamond News that one of the motor-bikers was speedily overtaking other motorists on the busy lane, but got into the lane of the oncoming tricycle from the Lamashegu end leading to the crash.
The accident left the yellow-yellow rumple and its front and rear windshields broken into pieces.
Some female passengers onboard the commercial tricycle, sustained minor injuries, but were left speechless by the horrific accident, which had brought a pile of traffic on the stretch in the morning.
Some residents and shop owners along the stretch, rushed to the scene to have firsthand information on the crash while others chose to help pull out the accident victims to safety.
