Yaa Naa may not work with Area Managing Director of NEDCo ?

Information reaching Diamondfmonline.com indicates that the overlord of Dagbon Ndan Yaa-Naa Abukari II may not be able to work with the Area Managing Director of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) Mr Osman Ayuba over his attitude towards the Gbewaa Palace.

The King takes the decision following the NEDCo Area Managing Director failure to be part of the NEDCo/VRA delegations who visited the Gbewaa Palace few weeks ago.

Diamondfmonline.com gathered that, the leadership of NEDCo earlier informed the palace their visit however, Mr. Osman Ayuba reportedly failed to be part of the delegation.

Management of NEDCo/VRA on Friday April 1, 2022, paid a courtesy call on the overlord of Dagbon at his private residence in Yendi. The purpose of the visit was to apologize and explain to the King for their delay in restoring power back to Koblimahagu.

However, the leadership of the two power supplied companies were at the Gbewaa palace on Friday without the Area Managing Director of NEDCo.

Diamondfmonline.com sources from the Gbewaa palace, indicated that the King, His Royal Majesty were not happy about the rudely behavior of Mr Osman Ayuba, saying “my position is that, I may not be able to work with the MD. He appears to be so big than the kingdom. He is furious as I speak to you”, the source added.

A statement from the palace, also stated that the NEDCo Area Managing Director had never visited the Gbewaa palace since taking up the leadership role of the company in the Northern Region. “He is not known to the palace since he resumes work in the Northern Region. Today was an opportunity for him but unfortunately for him, he couldn’t show up”, the source further stated.

It will be recalled that the overlord of Dagbon Ndan Yaan Naa Abukari II on Tuesday 29th March 2022 directed the Management of the NEDCo to as a matter of urgency reconnect Koblimahagu back to the national grid.

The King gives the directives in his speech during the commissioning of the Tamale interchange in Tamale. However, the leadership of NEDCo declined the King’s order until the following day when the kŋing reechoed his earlier order before NEDCo restored power back at Koblimahagu.

Residents of Koblimahagu slept in darkness for more than two weeks following a violent attack on some staff of NEDCo/VRA by some youth of the area.

One of the field officers allegedly sustained severe machete wounds during the attack.

I have personally visited the Gbewaa palace twice with the VRA/NEDCO Managing director Ayuba Osman so the story is flawed and unfounded in truth.
I will forward to you pictures of him at the Gbewaa palace if I get the link
