Yaa Naa enskins Naa Mahama and Naa Ibrahim as Chiefs of Nyankpala and Sang respectively

The King of Dagbon N’dan Yaa Naa Abukari II, has finally enskinned Naa Mahama Yakubu and Naa Ibrahim Mahama as Chiefs of Nyankpala and Sang respectively.

Naa Mahama Yakubu until his enskinment as Chief of Sang was the Chief of Yeni Gburimani while Naa Ibrahim Mahama also until his enskinment, was the Chief of Dataling a community under Sagnarigu traditional area.

Nyankpala and Sang though the final funerals rites of the late chiefs of these communities are yet to be performed, are one of the traditional communities of Dagbon Kingdom in the Northern part of Ghana. Naa Mahama Yakubu and Naa Ibrahim Mahama stand tall after they had contested these positions with several others.

Naa Mahama Yakubu and Naa Ibrahim Mahama enskinment, which took place at the Gbewaa Palace at Yendi on Thursday February 9, 2023, was witnessed by some chiefs and people of the areas, who now expect them to be escorted back to their various communities (Sang and Nyankpala) to formally assume their roles as Chiefs of the communities.

Meanwhile, information reaching diamondfmonline.com indicated that, the regent of Sang has been missing after an alleged gun men stormed the Sang chief palace on Wednesday night.
