Madam Ashetu Mahama, one of the beneficiaries told Diamondfmonline.com that the program had impacted the lives of women farmers since the MP rolled out the scheme some few years back.

“And we appreciate his effort towards empowering us through farming,” she commended.

Women make up on average 43 percent of the agricultural labor in developing countries, but lacks the most basic tools and inputs for their agricultural activities hence, the support.

“Women are very critical in our endeavors and I feel sad to speak today because I lost my beloved mother, Hajia Ramatu Mahama. So, I see every mother as very essential in the day to day activities of what we do”, he said.

He assured the people of Yendi and its environs his full commitment towards supporting and empowering them by offering sustainable trades for the benefit of their children, and communities at large.
