We will Attack any Zonal Coordinator who resumes Work. NPP’s Burma-Camp Warns Personnel of the School Feeding Programme

A Tamale based pro-NPP vigilante group, Burma-Camp is urging the leadership of the party and the president of the republic, to find ways of resolving tensions in the region over activities of the Ghana school feeding programme.

This comes in the wake of reports that the regional minister and his deputy together with the minister of gender, children and social protection, Otiko Afisah Djaba, are urging coordinators of the programme, to continue their work, contrary to a decision by the group, who locked up their offices and resisted allowing them to work.

The group, in a petition to the New Patriotic Party Council of Elders in the region on Sunday, October 22, 2017, threatened to deploy armed men to attack Zonal Coordinators of the programme who are set to begin official duty today.

The group, is promising more radical protests until Gender Minister Otiko Djaba halts attempts to undermine the Regional Coordinator, Madam Felicia Teetey

The group, dominated headlines last week, after violently locking offices of the school feeding program at the regional coordinating council, accusing the Gender Minister of sidestepping the authority of the Regional Coordinator, undermining her efforts and “arrogantly” refusing to work with him.

The group added that Otiko Djaba gave out double appointments to individuals and called for dialogue to address their concerns, particularly for a balanced appointment of Zonal coordinators.

Salifu Sulemana, is a leading member of the group.
