V8 accident along Fufulso Junction kills driver, leaving two others in critical condition

Two KNUST lecturers and a driver were on Wednesday involved in a fatal road crash between Fufulso/Junction and Domeabra in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region.

The accident resulted in the death of the driver leaving the two lecturers in critical conditions.

The occupants were in a Land Cruiser V8 belonging to the KNUST with registration number GV 785-14.

The two lecturers; Anita Andrews and one Alex Champion, were rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital by an ambulance for immediate attention.

TheCentral Gonja District Chief Executive, Mustapha Mahama, who confirmed the incident to Diamond News, said the driver lost control of the stirring wheel when the vehicle’s front tire burst.

Commenting on the increase rate of accident in the Savannah Region lately, the DCE indicated that his outfit is working closely with other stakeholders especially the Ghana Highways Authority and the security agencies in the Region to prevent such road crashes on the Buipe-Kumasi highway.
