Tiyumba Hope Foundation supports widows and orphans

Tiyumba Hope Foundation, a charitable organization in the Northern Region has on Saturday 1st, August, 2020 presented food items to some selected widows, orphans and beggars in the Tamale Metropolis and Sagnarigu Municipality.

The items included 300 packs of cooked food, packs of fresh meat, assorted drinks; boxes of biscuit and water were distributed among the widows and orphans at the selected communities. The beneficiary’s communities included Kanshagu, Datooyili, Nyohini Children’s Home and the Kpawumu Children’s Home.

The gesture according to the Executive Director of the organization Fuseini Fadilah is to aid the widows and orphans celebrate the Eid-Ul-Adha in joy and that it is in line with Tiyumba Hope Foundation’s annual gesture in support of the celebration of Eid-Ul-Adha.

Presenting some of the packs of meat to some widows at Datoyili, Mrs Fuseini Fadilah said, the gesture formed part of her organization’s social responsibility to give back to the needy in society. She said the support to the widows and orphans is very essential since their love ones are no more with them.

She indicated that, the widows, orphans and other venerable persons in society need to be remembered in these festivities.

“This is the month of sharing, a month of extending love to society, therefore we thought it wise to extend our little support to these venerable groups, she stated.  

Some of the beneficiaries after receiving the items expressed their gratitude to Tiyumba Hope Foundation for the kind gesture they have always extended to them.

Tiyumba Hope Foundation is a non-profitable organization which focuses on education, healthcare and economic empowerment of widows in the Northern Region.

The foundation seeks to achieve; Zero Hunger, eliminate Poverty, provide Quality Education, ensure Gender Equality and sexual reproduction Health in conformity  with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
