Teacher ‘Commits’ Suicide in Tamale

A middle age man on Monday January 3, 2022 allegedly committed suicide at Kaladan Barracks New Area, in the Tamale Metropolis.
The deceased, identified as Ziblim Mohammed Sadat, who was a graduate from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), and also a teacher at Anbariyya Islamic School was found dead with a robe tied to his neck hanging from a ceiling fan in his room.
His grisly demise came to his family, friends and neighbors at a shock.
One of his friends who was shocked about the demise of Sadat, speaking to Diamondfmonline.com on condition of anonymity said, “I don’t believe Sadat could have killed himself, because he was very optimistic about life and most importantly his body does not suggest to me that he killed himself”.
A resident in the area, who only give his name as Ibrahim, said the incident was a surprise to residents in the area as many are wondering what could compel the young man to commit such an act.
Diamondfmonline.com also lent that, the deceased before committing the acing, allegedly sent a text message to some of his family members threatening to take his live.
The Tamale Metropolitan Police Command after visiting the crime scene are yet to unravel the reasons that led ‘Sadat’ to take his own life.
According to the Northern Regional Crime Officer, Supt Bernard Baba Ananga, who confirmed the incident to Diamondfmonline.com, said the body has since been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital(TTH) after inspection by the police for autopsy.
