Tamale residents want President Akuffo Addo to tackle more seriously, the growing vigilantism in the country in his State of the Nation address tomorrow, Thursday

Some residents of Tamale are anxious to hearing how President Nana Akuffo Addo is going tackling the increasing political vigilantism and general sense of insecurity within the country as he presents the State of the Nation Address on Thursday February 31.

The residents said so far it’s been more rhetoric and they are expecting to hear concrete steps and strategies to dealing with the growing insecurity surrounding vigilantism.

They also expressed worry about the depreciation of the cedi against major trading currencies and its direct effects on businesses and cost of living in the country.

The President Nana Akuffo Addo is scheduled to present to Ghanaians though Parliament, the State of the Nation Address which will include successes of his two year old government and plans for the future.

Expressing their concerns through Diamond news, the sampled residents of Tamale challenged government to create a business friendly economy and job creation environment to better the livelihoods of the citizenry.

This will be the third of its kind for the President since he assumed office on January 7, 2017.

The State of the Nation is an annual address to Parliament given by the President of the republic of Ghana covering economic, social, and financial state of the country.

It is in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana .
