Tamale Central NPP aspiring Parliamentary Candidate Abass Zakaria replies Bawumia’s Boy

An aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Tamale Central Constituency, Abass Zakariya popularly called  “Governor” has admonished the Deputy Communications Director of NPP, Akbar Yussif Rohullah Khomeini to desist from commenting on matters he has no knowledge about.

Akbar Khomeini in a statement on his Facebook account, indicated that the NPP aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Tamale Central, Abass Zakariya was inciting party officials against the government and the Vice President.

According to Vice President aid, the incitement is founded on outright lies deliberately designed to target the person of Dr. Bawumia.

It is alleged that Abass Zakariya who is vying to lead the party for the second time during his campaign at Aboabo Electoral Area, stated that he has met Dr. Bawumia about 14 times and presented him with proposals on how to help party folks in Tamale which according to him fell on the rocks.

However, Akbar Khomeini noted that the claim by Abass Zakaria that he met Dr. Bawumia and his proposals were disregarded was not true.

He lamented that all statements made by Abass Zakaria including his claim that he singlehandedly got Hajia Samata appointed to Dubai are also not true.  He insisted that there has never been such a meeting between the Vice President Dr Bawumia and Abass Zakariya since the NPP came to power.

However, Abass Zakaria reacting to the NPP Deputy National Communications Director  on Diamond FM’s ‘Siasa Saha’ with Abdulai Abdul Gafaru, maintained that he has met the vice president 13 times with such proposals, saying “Akbar has no business with me and Bawumia whether I meet him or not. When we were struggling for this party to come to power, where was he (Akbar) ?”, he quizzed. “He was always busy playing his guitar, so he should stop pretending he knows the Vice President than anyone“, he added.

He just puts statements there for people to applaud him, but for me it has no merit for me” he noted.

Abass Zakaria (Governor) is aspiring to become the Tamale Central Constituency candidate for the NPP slated for September 2019.
