Tamale Central MP in a “Thug of War” with Youth Organizer over Campaign Vehicle

A former Minister of Roads and Highways, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini and Northern Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Mohammed Aminu are on each others throats, over the party’s 2016 campaign cars.

The former Minister, who is also the lawmaker for Tamale Central, claimed he secured the vehicles for some members of the campaign team who are executives with the understanding that they would be returned after the elections.

According to him, this was aimed at catering for the logistical constraint that was encountered by the party prior to the 2016 polls but after the elections, persons including the Regional Youth Organizer and others deliberately refused to return their vehicles.

Speaking to Mohammed Ibn Abdallah on the Diamond power drive on Thursday, the Tamale central lawmaker noted that the Rambo style seizure of the vehicles was occasioned by the refusal of the Campaign team members, to hand over the vehicles to the owners.

The former Minister who has been accused hiring thugs to seize party vehicles from some officials of the NDC in the region in Rambo style said the claims are fabrications to ruin his hard won reputation.

He denied allegations that, he had a personal score to settle with the regional youth organizer of the party, Alhaji Mohammed Amin Adam (Abio).

Meanwhile the regional youth organizer in confirming the seizure of the pickup said it was never disclosed to the team that the vehicles were to be returned after the campaign.
