Supporters of NPP in Sagnarigu descends heavily on constituency chairman

Some serial callers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region have descended heavily on the Sagnarigu constituency chairman of the party, Chairman Dangooma for rudely dropping the call during a live interview on Diamond FM’s Siasa Saha show.

Chairman Dangooma, was responding to some concerns on the Siasa Saha Political Talk Show, regarding a recent suspension of three polling station executives in his constituency but rather, he dropped the call in the middle of the interview when the host tried to pose a follow up question.

The serial callers who were listening and later called into the program described the behavior of the NPP chairman as unfortunate that must be condemned.

They expressed worry that the behavior of the chairman had the tendency of destroying the fortunes of the party within the Sagnarigu constituency and the region at large.

“I am surprised about the action of the chairman (Dangooma). Why will he drop the call? A politician of his caliber should know better and have patience at all times. You behave this way and want people to vote for your party?”, one of the callers lamented.

“Chairman Dangooma is a shame to the NPP in the Sagnarigu constituency. Honestly speaking the Sagnarigu Chairman behavior was unprofessional. Why hanging up the call on you is a Shame.”

It would be recalled that, the ruling new patriotic party NPP in the Sagnarigu constituency on August 18 2023, suspended three polling station executives.

The three executives include Abdallah Murijana, Alhassan Bawa, and Mohammed Osman.

The party in a letter addressed to the suspended polling station executives, stated that, “we received a report and videos concerning an act of property destruction at the Sagnarigu constituency office on July 21, 2023. The incident was an attempt to vent frustration towards certain candidates vying for positions in the upcoming parliamentary primaries within the constituency”.

It added that, everyone has the right to express their disagreement within the party, but there are specific procedures for doing so, unfortunately you did not follow these procedures and instead look matters into your own hands by vandalizing party property, hence your suspension.
