StarTimes opens new office in Tamale

Digital Television (TV) operators StarTimes have opened a new office in Tamale. The opening of the new office according to Head of Marketing at StarTimes, Mrs. Akofa Banson is in line with the company’s fifth anniversary celebration and also an opportunity to better serve football fans in Tamale and celebrate Real Tamale United’s (RTU’s) return to the Ghana Premier League in the coming season.

Speaking at the event, Head of Marketing at StarTimes, Mrs. Akofa Banson said StarTimes Ghana is hoping to provide customers the most competitive and affordable pay TV service.

“Our target audience is the mass market with specific emphasis on the middle class earners who have for long in the past been denied access to affordable pay TV service and compelling content.” She said.

“It is on the back of this that our product and bouquet offering is affordable,” She added.

She again said that, “StarTimes is not new to the people of Tamale as we have operated through a couple of dealers and agents in the region since 2017.”

The opening of the new office took place on Thursday, 21st October, 2021 at a short ceremony at Tishigu, the first floor of the MTN building.

The opening of the new office means customers can now buy decoders, pay their subscriptions, change bouquets, buy accessories and make any general enquiries about StarTimes.

StarTimes is a pay TV service provider with a strong presence in Sub-Saharan Africa that offers digital terrestrial television and satellite television services to its consumers.

It has more than 30million users in about 30 African countries.

As the official broadcaster of the Ghana Premier League, their presence in the Northern Region is to ensure they telecast some home matches of RTU when the season is opened.

In attendance at the event were representatives from RTU, Alhaj Abdul Rahaman Habib, supporters vice chairman and Abdulai Mohammed Gong, supporters secretary.

StarTimes presented a set of jerseys to RTU to be used by ball boys on match days.
