The leader of Shia Muslim community in the Tamale metropolis, Sheikh Abdul Mumin Dalhu, has appealed to Muslims across the country to desist from attacking anyone in the name of Islam or ethnic lineage.

Sheikh Abdul Mumin Dalhu, addressing his followers after Eid prayers at the premises of AHLUL BAYT MOSQUE remarked:  “people are of two kinds -they are either your brother in faith or an equal in creation- therefore, there is the need to accept every individual of our society as our own.

“As a country, we have to be tolerant of any kind of culture and Religion whether they are majority or minority only then can a society be called perfect,” he added.

Sheikh Abdul Mumin Dalhu in his Eid-ul-Fitr message called on religious leaders most especially Islamic scholars in the metropolis to seek wisdom while making public utterances. He also advised Muslims not see themselves as enemies but rather should fight ignorance.

“I also wish to remind all and sundry that religion is not a sole  property of a single person nor a grouping but the belief and practices associated to Allah, so let no one create unnecessary fear and panic because of their selfish interest. “
