Sheikh Dalhu leads crusade to stop health officials from extorting monies from patients who patronize health facilities

The leader of the Shia Muslim Community in the Northern Region, Shaykhu Dalhu Abdul-Mumin, is leading a crusade aimed at preventing health officials from extorting monies from patients who patronize health facilities within the Tamale Metropolis.

According to him, the practice of where some of the health officials in Tamale, demanding moneys from patients with health insurance cards in order to receive medical treatment is alarming hence, the decision to fight against the menace.

The Chief Imam of Ahlul-Bayt who is also a chief of the Hausa Zongo Community in Tamale thus encourage media practitioners to partner with him to fight the canker.

The leader of Shia Muslim Community mentioned this, when he paid a formalization visit to Diamond FM indicating that his outfit intend to meet the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) managers, health authorities, and other stakeholders to address the issue.

Meanwhile, the spiritual leader, speaking on his DALHU GREENING PROJECT, said his outfit has facilitated and plant about 10, 000 trees across the Northern Region.
