A renowned Islamic cleric Sheikh Al-Habib Dawud Adabiya, has condemned the actions by some irate residents of Kakpag’yili that led to the burning of two houses and destroying of several properties belonging to Alhaji Abdul Rahaman Madaha.

It would be recalled that the irate residents of Kakpag’yili after accusing Alhaji Abdul Rahaman Madaha of killing two children for rituals on Monday July 1, 2024, set his two houses ablaze and destroyed several properties.

The two children went out on June 25, 2024 but never returned. According to the report, the two children were later found dead in an abandoned car behind Alhaji Abdul Rahaman’s house.

Addressing Muslim Umma at the Friday congregational prayers at his mosque in Tamale, the leader of Masjidul Salaam Mosque described the actions by the residents of Kakpayili as un-islamic.

He said Islamic religion frowns on instant justice and spreading of information either authentic or unauthentic hence it is prudent for every practicing Muslim to always ensure a proper investigation is carried out on sensitive issues or any issues involving a Muslim brother before taking any action.

He added that the religion also advises Muslims to love and protect one another and therefore it was wrong on the part of those who took the law into their own hands and carried out such barbaric acts.

Shiekh Al-Habib in his sermon while praying to the family of the late children, also demanded a full-scale probe into the burning and destroying of Alhaji Abdul Rahaman madaha properties.

He said urgent action must be taken to unravel the truth of the matter and also serve justice to Alhaji Abdul Rahaman Madaha.
