School Feeding Caterers to Be Paid This Week- Head of Public Relations Gender Ministry

Caterers under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) will be paid their arrears for the first term of the 2024 academic year this week, Head of Public Relations of the Ministry of Gender Siiba Alfa, has said.

According to him, all the processes leading to the payment of the arrears have been completed, and “we are certain that disbursement would be done in the next few days”.

“So far, some amount of the funds needed to pay all Caterers in the 16 regions has been received and the Secretariat and the Ministry of Gender are working hand-in-hand with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department for the release of the remaining amount before the final disbursement by GHiPPS”.

In a press statement copied to diamondfmonline.com Mr. Siiba Alfa further stated, ‘We are therefore waiting to receive the full amount from the Controller to be able to pay all the 16 regions,” he added.

He thus appeal to all Caterers to exercise a little restraint as they are waiting for the final transfer of the remaining amount. “We also express our sincere appreciation to all our Caterers for their sustained cooperation, in spite of the delay in the payment of the arrears”.
