Sagnarigu NDC PC Attah Issah cut sod for construction of Modern Health Facility at Kunbuyili
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Sagnarigu Constituency, Mr Attah Issah, has cut sod for construction of a modern health facility at Kunbuyili a suburb of the Sagnarigu Municipal in the Northern Region.
The facility will have Male and Female wards, Labour ward, reception, dressing and injection room, consulting room, changing room, washroom and records.
The project, expected to be completed within December this year, would provide residents of Kunbuyili access to quality primary healthcare solving the challenge of traveling long distances to Tamale Teaching Hospital for basic healthcare services.
Addressing the media after the sod cutting ceremony, the NDC PC indicated that Kunbuyili and its adjoined communities had no modern health facility hence the project.
“The whole stretch from Gurugu towards Sorugu and Bogkurugu, we don’t have a modern hospital. We want a modern district hospital at this stretch so that health care can be prioritised around this area,” he said.
Mr Attah Issah reiterated his commitment towards addressing primary healthcare challenges within the Sagnarigu constituency.
“This is our commitment of saving the people of Sagnarigu. We are doing this for the people of Kunbunyili, but we expect to do more. In November, we will be commissioning the Malishegu maternity ward, and on 7th November, we will be commissioning similar project at Gurugu, and we pray to Almighty God that latest by December ending we should be able to commission this facility,” he indicated.
The chiefs and people of Kunbuyili on their part commended the NDC PC for initiating such a project to address their healthcare challenges.
