Some residents of Moshie Zongo of the Tamale Metropolis have embraced the decision by the management of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly of implementing pay before you dump refuse policy in the area .
According to them the area for the past years has been battling with series of sanitation issues which include the heaps of garbage and filth at the only dumping site in the area.
However some of the residents largely women who spoke to Diamond News, said the sanitation situation in the area has improved since the implementation of the policy in the area.
Management of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly led by the MCE Iddrisu Musah Superior, in an attempt to improve sanitation have issued a directive for the implementation of the ‘pay before you dump refuse policy’ in some areas to help control the indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the metropolis
