Ramadan: GCB Bank PLC Supports Muslim Community in Tamale

GCB Bank PLC has donated assorted food items and money to Muslim community in Tamale, towards the Ramadan festivities. 

The items presented included several bags of rice, sugar, packs of milk, and several boxes of Millo.

The presentation was made at some selected Mosques, including Central Mosque, Ambariya Mosque, Sheikh Luckman Bamba and Sheikh Abu Dijaana.

The Managing Director of GCB Bank PLC, Alhaji Farihan Alhassan, who led the delegation from the bank, stated that it had become part of the bank’s tradition to support the muslim community during the holy month.

“We are committed to community development and for ages this has been part of our cooperative responsibility in supporting communities when they have festivals like this coming up.”

He said it was important for Muslims to utilise the time to reflect on the past and envision the future with the guidance of Prophet Mohammed’s teachings. Alhaji Farhan, while assuring the bank’s continuous support to the muslim community, also urged the muslim urma to ensure incident-free during the holy month.

The Northern Regional chief Imam Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Salaam, expressed his profound gratitude to the bank for recognising and assisting Muslims leaders to handle the huge responsibilities on their shoulders. 

 Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Salam, prayed for Allah’s blessing and divine intervention in the lives of staff members and the future of the GCB. 

He also prayed for the sustenance of peace and tranquility for the nation, emphasising the need for continuous peaceful coexistence in the country.
