Pro NPP Youth Group in Tamale suspends 3-members for joining Alan’s camp

Three (3) members of the BIG-6 a pro New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth group within the greater Tamale of the Northern Region, have been suspended from the group for declaring their support for Alan Kojo Kyeremanteng ahead of the ruling party flagbearership elections.

The affected persons include Yakubu Abdul Nashiru (Choggu Zagban Naa), Zakaria Baako Abdul Fatawu, and Bawa Alhassan.

In a letter signed by the chairman of the group Abdul Fatawu Abubakari, and sighted by diamondfmonline.com communicating the suspension he said, “I wish to distance the group from the media encounter with some members of the group on Radio Tamale on September 22, 2022, declaring their support for Honorable Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng”.

“The group has a long-standing allegiance to H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, therefore under no circumstance will the group make such a haste declaration for somebody else”.

“The letter further explained that, the leadership of the group wasn’t consulted before such decision was taking. On this basis, the leadership of the group have resolved to suspend the underlisted members from the group pending the determination by the disciplinary committee of the group”, the letter added.

It is reported that, the suspended members during their recent interview on radio tamale, announced their decision to switch camp to Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng campaign team.

The suspended members explaining their decision noted, “we are 43 members in the group; one is with the Agric Minister’s camp, while the chairman who is our leader is with the Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s camp”.

“We have taken this decision to join Alan’s camp against the will of our chairman. We know he is not happy but this is good for us. About 40 of our members are all polling station executives. And that makes us delegates”, they explained.

“We have done our research and Alan is the right man to lead the NPP to break the 8. And moreover, we have not been treated fairly as members of the ruling party”, they said.
