Operation Fix Every Eye Underway in North Tongu.

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzaeto Ablakwa, has begun a free eye surgery, treatment/medication for his constituents who need it.

The outreach, which is taking place at various centers within the constituency commenced in Mafi Dedukope on September 16, 2021.

At least close to 1000 residents with acute eye cases have so far benefited from the surgeries and treatment at various centers in the constituency. 

The exercise is part of the Operation fix every eye condition, initiated by the NDC law maker to support the needy in his constituency.

In a Facebook post, Hon. Ablakwa said “Adequate provisions have been made to hand out at least 10,000 eye glasses to those deemed to require visual aid. In addition to free medications, we are also offering free eye surgeries which shall be carried out by our visiting specialists using theatres at the Battor Catholic Hospital”.

“Over the next six days, my beloved constituents can expect multiple mobile teams of these amazing volunteer eye specialists to traverse all our six traditional areas from 9am to 4pm daily” he added.

The exercise is fully funded solely by the North Tongu MP in order to help people in his constituency, particularly those from the rural communities and the less privileged.

The North Tongu legislature who describe the exercise as awesome, said sight is very crucial in the lives of every individual hence the need to support the less privilege to correct their sight problem.
