Coalition of NDC activists in the Northern region, have given leaders of the party, a week’s ultimatum to sack the regional director of elections, Tanko Rashid Computer or be prepared to pay a heavy price in the 2020 general elections.
They alleged that, Tanko Rashid Computer since assumption of office as the director of elections in the region had always engaged in a divisive agenda of pitching party activists against national and regional executives who seek clarity on his activities.
Addressing the media shortly after presenting a petition to the regional executives of the NDC, spokesperson for the group, Ahmed Fareed said, Tanko Computer who is also regional treasure of the party had gained notoriety for all the wrong doings in the party most especially during election period and handling of party funds.
Regional director of communication, General Amin who received the petition commended the group for using the party’s structures and urged the group to shy away from acts that will bring party’s name into disrupt.
