The Director of Special Projects at the National Youth Wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Abdul Ganiyu Alhassan is asking the Northern Regional Director of NADMO Alhaji Abdallah Hindu to retract what he describes as tribal bigotry comments he made on the party’s Regional Chairman, chairman Samba or face his wrath.
According to the NPP youth activist, he will be forced to drag Alhaji Hindu to the National Executive Committee of NPP for sanctioning, should he fail to retract those comments.
The former Northern Regional Organizer of NPP in recent times has joined the “Chairman Samba must go crusade”. Alhaji Hindu in his latest interview is alleged to have asked the Northern Regional Chairman of NPP Mohammed Bantima Samba to relocate to the North East Region where he hails from and leave Northern Region for Dagombas.
Majority of political players have since condemned the action by the Northern Regional Director of NADMO.
However, despite the condemnation, Alhaji Hindu in his latest statement on his facebook page maintained that, “I still stand by my words and only those with” MATURED” thinking capacity can only understand what I meant by saying chairman should move to North East Region. All that we’re saying is we shall never compromise with the “HEAD” period, he stressed.
Meanwhile speaking on Diamond FM’s SIASA SAHA (A Dagbani political talk show) Abdul Ganiyu Alhassan popularly called ‘Brigandi’ condemned the action by Alhaji Hindu, saying there are pockets of tribalism in his comments and he did not expect the former Northern Regional Organizer of NPP to share such comments which can plunge the two regions into war when misinterpreted.
“I am disappointed about Ahaji Hindu’s comments and I will be petitioning the National Executive Committee, as a member of the NPP to sanction Alhaji Hindu because, tribal bigotry is not part of our party’s tradition. Our party never discriminates anybody, his comments are against everything the tradition of NPP stands for”, he stated.
He further admonished Alhaji Hindu and his allies to refrain from this kind of politics as it can destabilize the party in the Region.
