The women organizer of New Patriotic Party in the northern region Hajia Rahana Aziz has donated 10 cartons of milk towards this year’s Diamond Damba Festival celebration.
She also gave GhC 500 cash to support the preparations towards the many activities lined up for the celebration.
Hajia Feruza who made the donation on behalf of Hajia Rahana commended Diamond FM for the initiative that will help save lives in the region.
She said there was the need for other private organizations to emulate “this good project so that so we can all contribute to the wellbeing of society”.
Ahead of the final celebration on October 25th, 2021, Diamond FM will organize fun games at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium-Annex on 23rd of October.
On the 25th, whiles the blood donation is ongoing at the premises, there will also be Hepatitis B screening for donors and free NHIS registration for the vulnerable.
Management of Diamond FM is still urging the public to donate in support of the project where several units of blood are collected to restock the National Blood Bank at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
