The Executive body of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region has congratulated three personalities from the region who have been appointed to various ministerial portfolios by President Nana Akuffo Addo.
The trio; Dominic Nitiwul, MP for Bimbilla who has been reappointed to head the Defense Ministry, the immediate past Minister for Business Development Ministry, Dr. Mohamed Awal who is heading to the Tourism and Culture Ministry and and a former secretary of the party in the region Alhassan Saibu Shani who is minister designate for the region.
President Akufo Addo on Thursday dropped the list of ministers who will form part of his next administration, pending parliamentary approval and subsequent nominations.
Responding to the president’s decision, the Northern Regional Executives expressed profound gratitude to the president for the recognition.
In a press release signed by the party’s Regional Communications Director, Sule Salifu on behalf of the chairman, thanked president Akuffo Addo for the honour done the region and expressed optimism that they will deliver to expectations.
“The people of the North are elated with the appointments of Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, Minister Designate for Defense, Hon. Mohammed Awal, Minister Designate for Tourism and Creative Arts and Alhaji Shani Alhassan Saibu, Northern Regional Minister Designate”. The statement added.
