The traditional chief priest Tamale, Nyeb Boglana Alhassan Abdul Rahaman has cautioned radio stations in the Tamale metropolis to go by the ethics of the media profession and not allow their platforms to be used to foment trouble in the area.

Nyeb Boglana’s caution follows the unfortunate incident that took place at the Northern regional police headquarters between members of the Ambariya Sunni sect and members of Masjidul Bayan Mosque on 21st February 2018.

The chief priest of the Tamale traditional area, while addressing some section of media personnel at his palace in Tamale on Thursday, described yesterday’s incident between the two Muslim groups as unfortunate and needed to be condemned by all.

He was quick to add that the incident could have been avoided if some Radio stations operating in the metropolis had acted professionally in their work.

Buglana Alhassan admonished radio stations within the jurisdiction to focus on programs that will promote peace within the metropolis. He also had some strong words for media houses that would not adhere to caution.
