N/R: NPP Chairman Aspirant Alhaji Inusah Dagomba Boy launch Manifesto, promise to do the following

An aspiring Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Inusah Dagomba Boy, ahead of the Regional Delegates Conference has on Wednesday May 18, 2022, launched his manifesto.

He is the first aspirant to do so towards this internal elections scheduled for May 28, 2022. The 18-paged manifesto is themed “RESCUE MISSION.”

The manifesto features a breakdown of what Alhaji Inusah Dagomba Boy pledge to implement when given the nod.

It also outlines assurances of the things Alhaji Dagomba Boy intends to do to increase the chances of the party in the region.

According to Alhaji Dagomba Boy, he believe that party unity most especially among executives hence, his leadership will put measures in place to ensure there is unity among party members before 2024 general elections.

He said the relevance of unity and formidable party will further be justified since the members of the party desire to break the 8.

“The first initiative of the Dagomba Boy led regional leadership is to embark on reunification drive through dialogue and consensus building. Such exercise will in the end, help foster unity and reconciliation among members of the party in the region to ensure that we are united for a common goal towards future elections”, he stated.

In communication, the Northern Regional NPP chairman hopeful underscored the importance of communication, saying “communication remains the fulcrum around which every political party can propagate its messages to electorates and crucially for the NPP as a party in government”.

He said despite the party had a Communication Directorate, there appear to be total lack of support to the directorate under the current regional chairman.

Therefore, “it is the desire of Dagomba Boy led administration in the region to re-tool and resource the Communication Directorate in order to improve their capacity and output”.

The former Yendi Constituency Chairman also pledge for a permanent party regional office in his manifesto.

He said the NPP is the only political party in contemporary times that has its umbilical cord tied with the people of Northern Ghana (Northern Peoples Party in the early 1950s) yet, the NPP has no permanent office in the region.

He said despite the failure of the incumbent Chairman, Adam Mohammed Baantima Samba, to fulfill his promise to construct the party headquarters as promised in 2018 that led to his election; a Dagomba Boy led leadership will take steps within two years to mobilize the needed resources to construct an ultramodern office complex for the NPP in the region.

He asserted the current leadership have enjoyed more resources from the national party than any of their predecessors and wonder what happens to the party’s dream of having a permanent regional office.

Alhaji Dagomba also promise a research project for 2024 elections and explained the importance of electoral research leading to any elections, and gave the indication that one of the initial strategic plan is to resource the Elections and Research department of the party with both human and material requirements at the regional and constituency levels to conduct the SWOT analysis, thus, undertake a study to establish the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats relative to the crucial 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to him, the Regional Research and Elections officer became redundant because the current Regional Executives failed to recognize the value of that portfolio.

“It is evident by how the current officer holder is virtually abandoned. No wonder the signs of defeat in the Saboba, Kpandai and Wulensi constituencies were ignored by the current regional leadership prior to the 2020 general elections hence, the predicament of the party in parliament relative to the numbers”, he argued.
