N/R: Iran to partner Ghana to boost agriculture

The Iranian Government has pledged to partner Ghana to develop the Agriculture sector especially in the northern part of the country.

An Iranian delegation made this pledge when they paid a courtesy call on Northern Regional minister, Salifu -Saeed at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council as part of their two days tour of the Region.

Leader of the delegation, who represented IRANIAN president and is also CEO of the agricultural venture in IRAN know as JIHAD, Ali Rizar Valid, noted that partnering the government of Ghana in areas of Agriculture would go a long way to create jobs for the team youth in the region.

He said Ghana and Iran have long standing relationship particularly in Agri-business, therefore it was the view of the Government of Iran that its support to Ghana cold revamp the Agric sector and mate it more attractive.

Ali Rizar believed that the initiative is achievable when serious commitments are shown by the two nations.

In his remarks the northern regional minister, Salifu- Saeed, said Ghana and Iran have enjoyed fruitful bilateral relations over the years and the visit was to re-enforce the many positive developments the two nations had achieved over the years.

He assured the delegation that the regional coordinating council would fully cooperate with the support, to reap benefits for the people in the region.
