N/R: Deputy Chief of Staff Fawaz Aliu donates to support Diamond Damba Festival.

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Fawaz Aliu, has extended his support to management of Diamond FM ahead of this year Damba festival celebration.

The support is several assorted items including Voltic mineral water, several cartons of milk, and several crates of malt.

The Deputy Chief of Staff also presented Ghc2,000 to the Management of the station to support other activities lined-up for the festival.

The annual blood donation exercise organized by Diamond FM is aimed at restocking the National Blood Bank at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

The event which is in its fourth season would see activities such as football matches between some selected tribal play mates including Frafra, Dagaatis, Dagombas, Gonjas, Kasinas, Moshies and the various political parties in the metropolis.

The matches which were played on Saturday 23 Oct, 2021 saw NDC beat NPP by a lone goal (1-0) to nil, while Dagombas also beat Moshies 1-0, and Kasinas for the first time were run away winners over Gonjas on a penalty shoot out.

The activities will be preceded by a blood donation exercise and registration of National Health Insurance Scheme Cards to vulnerable widows and orphans at the premises of Diamond FM on Monday 25 October, 2021.

The blood donation is aimed at assembling over 500 units of blood for the Tamale Teaching Hospitals Blood Bank.

For the blood donation exercise, Management of Diamond FM is inviting listeners of the station and other groups as well to come in their numbers and support the initiative to save lives in the region.
