MTN Ghana “eases traffic” around Tamale’s CBD, as it opens an additional customer service outlet at Kaladan

MTN Ghana has opened an additional customer service outlet at Kaladan to satisfy its increasing client base in the Tamale Metropolis.

The facility which was unveiled by the Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu, has provisions for 12 tellers to attend to customer service, while other team staff in the region will also have safe and conducive space to undertake their tasks.  

The Regional Minister, during the unveiling of the MTN office remarked that “it is exciting the ultramodern work space, would improve service delivery.”

According to him, such efforts to ease the traffic and congestion witnessed around the Tamale Post office enclave, where the bulk of MTN customers throng to have their changes resolved, was highly commendable.

“This is worth commending since this customer service outlet will take part of the stress away from the main centre, and ultimately, efficiency will be enhanced,” he remarked. Alhaji Shaibu said MTN remains a reliable mobile telephony service provider and its impact continually had been felt in health, education and economic empowerment.

The Regional Minister noted that among the 158 corporate social responsibility projects undertaken by the company nationwide, the Northern Region has also gotten its fair share.

He mentioned in particular, the 600 bed capacity girls block at the Tamale Senior High school, the neo-natal and incubation unit (NICU) at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, scholarships for ICT trainings and educational opportunities as well as women empowerment and social support activities, all sponsored by MTN.

Earlier in an address, the Chief Sales and Distribution officer at MTN Ghana, Shaibu Haruna stated “the befitting centre at Kaladan, reflects the image of a growing city like Tamale and as a market leader, we are helping to cut the long travels and inconveniences that clients have to deal with routinely.”

He said the ultramodern facility is among 4 others sited at different parts of the country from where MTN as a market leader is reaching the country with enhanced digital telecommunication service.

Mr. Haruna stated that together with its key partners, the company is rolling out community shops where basic services will be offered.
