MASLOC CEO donates medical equipment to Emergency Center of the Yendi Municipal Hospital

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Hajia Abibata Shani Mahama Zakaria, has donated ten hand-held patient monitors worth about $30, 000 to the newly built Alicia Reine Bishop Emergency Center of the Yendi Municipal Hospital.

The gesture is aimed at assisting the yet-to-be commissioned newly built emergency center to provide quality health delivery to the people of Yendi and its surrounding communities.

The Alicia Reine Bishop Emergency Center is a 28-bed capacity building with two critical isolation rooms started in February, 2021 and when completed will attract a lot of patients across the Yendi Municipality.

At a short ceremony to present the items to the management of the Yendi Hospital, Mrs. Zakaria indicated that the support formed part of her usual natural drive to give back to the society, therefore the gesture.

She narrated further that, “I was born at this very hospital, hence it is important to give back to the facility.”

The 2020 NPP parliamentary aspirant in her remarks also commended the Mission 318 for their work so far and assured them of her commitment towards supporting the unit in the near future.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abdulai Ayuba, who received the items on behalf of the management of the hospital, thanked the MASLOC CEO for the gesture, and assured her that the items will be put to good use.

 He also called on other people to emulate the MASLOC CEO’s gesture by supporting the hospital to enable them provide quality health service to the people in the area.
