Lordina Foundation condemns lynching of a poor 90-year old woman.

The Lordina Foundation has noted with regret the barbaric beating to death of a 90-year old woman on suspicion of witchcraft.

The tragic incident, which is reported to have occurred in Kafaba in the Savannah Region, cannot and should not be accepted in our society.

The Lordina Foundation, in condemning the action of the community members who have ended up killing a poor woman, joins others to call for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators of this heinous and inhuman act, in accordance with the laws of the country.

We will remain committed to the welfare and protection of the interests of the underprivileged in our society, particularly children and women.

It is that commitment that has ensured our pivotal support for our mothers who have been chased out of their communities and have made the Gambaga Witches Camp their new home.
