The Member of Parliament (MP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate elect for the Kumbungu constituency, Professor Hamza Adam, has pledged to bring on board contenders at the just ended parliamentary primaries to ensure the party wins power come 2024.
Professor Hamza Adam made the pledge in a message posted on his social media handles after beating the one term former MP for Kumbungu Ras Mubarak and other three contestants at the end of the poll on Saturday May 13, 2023.
The Kumbungu legislator in his post stated, “he again promised to bring on board the other four contestants so that collectively, the inept NPP elephantine-size government would be sent back to the bush where it appropriately belongs for H.E John Dramani Mahama to salvage the country from the abyss they created in all aspects of development”.
Professor Hamza Adam also extended his appreciation to the chiefs, branch executives, and party elders for their support.

Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah,
We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to our patriotic branch executives, Party elders, Chiefs, Imams, pastors, and the multitude of party members for the confidence reposed in our hardworking MP yesterday 13/05/2023 as Parliamentary Candidate for the 2024 general elections. Even though equally qualified candidates put up themselves for election, the mantle of leading the constituency as MP has for the second time been handed to Professor Hamza Adam in loud and crystal-clear terms.
In his short speech to accept the challenging but satisfying honour, Professor Hamza Adam admonished the rank and file of the party to celebrate moderately because no individual won and none lost, the great NDC is the ultimate victor.
He again promised to bring on board the other four contestants so that collectively, the inept NPP elephantine-size government would be sent back to the bush where it appropriately belongs for H.E John Dramani Mahama to salvage the country from the abyss they created in all aspects of development.
Some four years ago, specifically on 20th August, 2019, we were here with a similar message of appreciation to the rank and file of members of the great NDC for the endorsement given in that primaries. This second repose of confidence is an indication that the good people of Kumbungu constituency have trust in our hardworking MP amidst more room for improvement. We humbly assure everyone of a continued stellar performance in Parliament and in the constituency for the betterment of Ghana.
Special mention has to be made of Party leadership from the constituency through to National, Campaign Strategists and team members, The Electoral Commission, The Media, The Security Service and all those who made this a success.
And once again to my contenders, I congratulate you all for the show of good sportsmanship and our collective victory for the great NDC.
