Kumbungu Education Fund (KuCEF) beneficiaries rise to 827 as in Prof Hamza supports 200 more students

Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Prof Hamza Adam, has provided financial support to 200 students from various tertiary institutions to enable them to pay their school fees.

The latest intervention, which was made in Kumbungu over the weekend, forms part of the MP’s ongoing efforts under the Kumbungu constituency education fund to ease the financial burden on students and families in the constituency.

According to Prof Hamza, the latest beneficiaries bring to total of Eight Hundred and Seven-Two (872) the total number of students who have benefited from the fund since its establishment in 2021.

He stressed the importance of education to the development of the constituency and pledged to sustain investments in the sector.

“Since assuming office as your Member of Parliament, I have consistently regarded education as one of the most important areas of investment in the development of our constituency

Addressing the beneficiary students, Prof Hamza said the establishment of the fund is not intended to be a one-off intervention. Rather, it is designed to create a more structured and sustainable mechanism for supporting needy but deserving students in the district.

He thus encouraged the beneficiary students to take their studies seriously. “This support is not a handout; it is an investment in your future. Your responsibility is therefore to take your studies seriously, remain disciplined and make the most of the opportunity that has been given to you.
