About 900 people from the Northern Regional Keep Fit Clubs Association (NOREKCA) embarked on a peaceful walk through some principal streets of Tamale to officially launch its Annual Fun Games.
The theme for this year’s event is dubbed “Maintaining Health and Fitness during Covid; the role of the Keep Fitter” saw members drawn from 11 member associations across the Northern Region to participate in the launch.
The crowd who finally gathered at the Jubilee Park, climax the occasion with a variety of exercises including aerobics.
Speaking at the launch, Special Guest of Honor- Chief Sintaro Mahama Sakoya Naa who represented the Overlord of Dagbon, His Royal Highness Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II urge Keep Fitters “to cultivate the habit of discipline when keeping fit, as this will help increase the development and growth of the association”.
Other personalities during the launch also include Alhaji Mohammed Zakaria- NOREKCA Regional Chairman and National Vice Chairperson, Honorable Abubakari Issah – Regional Secretary, Reverend George Gado – Chairman of OLA Keep Fit Club and Northern Regional Director of NSS among others.
The NORECKA Annual Fun Games will come off on the 11th November, 2021 with some awards given to individuals and persons who well deserves it.
