Division Two side Kasalgu Arrow Heads shocked Steadfast FC in the Maiden Edition of the Naa Gbewaa Charity Cup on Saturday with a 4-1 thumping of the Division One based side, prompting an outpouring of pride amid the first staging of the competition in Dagbon Kingdom.

Bank Roller Dr Ayamga Celebrated with his players to mark the achievement and send signals that they are already a top side that should be playing in the Second Tier of Ghana Football.

Steadfast FC came into the match as favorites on the back of a fine start to the 2022-23 Division One League where they occupy second place after eight rounds of matches in Zone 1A. But Arrow Heads, the lowest ranked team in the competition, threw caution to the wind at the start of the first half, charging at Steadfast FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

The pressure paid off early in the first half with two quick fire goals through Firdaws Ziblim, silencing the few Steadfast FC fans. And on the 39th minute, Kasalgu Arrow Heads took total control with a third goal courtesy Yussif Abdul Rahman, stroking home to make it 3-0.

And just minutes later the Gangdu Boys responded when Abubakari Abdul Shakun reduced the deficit with a consolation two minutes before half time. However it was Agyemobtor Jonas thunderous free kick from 35 yards that stole the show, sending Arrow Heads to the finals with a potential clash with either RTU or Kumbungu Binbiem Fc who face off on Sunday at 3:00pm at the same venue.
