Jabab Magan scores his second goal in RTU narrow win at Buipe

Jabab Magan scored his second goal of the season as Real Tamale United (RTU) beat Yapei FC 1-0 on Match Day 2 of the ongoing Access Bank Division One League.

The former Thunder FC attacker hits the back of the net on the 20th minute to give the former Premier League side a narrow victory at the Jinapor Stadium on Saturday.

Jabab could have doubled his tally for RTU in the second half after he was brought down by Yapei FC goalkeeper Abdulai Awudu Mumin inside the box for a penalty, but he missed it by hitting the ball over the bar.

The win means Real Tamale United will now occupy the top of the league log in Zone 1A with six (6) points and six (6) goals with the rest of Match Day 2 fixture to be played on Sunday.

Coach Sarfo Castro side dominated the first half of the game while his team went under pressure after recess, with Yapei United coming close to scoring on numerous occasions.

However, Man of the Match and goalkeeper of RTU Tahiru Abubakar made some wonderful saves that kept Real Tamale United in the game till they fought to scramble the three maximum points.

RTU will now host Walewale Catholic Stars in their next game at the their favorite home ground Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
