Ansur Imam Mahdi, an Islamic Charity Organization in the Tamale Metropolis, as part of activities to mark the birth of Sayida Fatimatu Zahra (as) has donated assorted items to the Nyohini Children’s Home.
The items included bags of rice, toiletries, drinks, bags of sachet water, cooking oil and an undisclosed amount of money.
President of Ansur Imam Mahdi, Ibrahim Denu Rahaman, said the celebration of the birth of the daughter of the prophet, Mohammed (SAW) was to share love to the less privileged, hence the organization was touched by the plight of orphans and decided to make the donation.
“As an Islamic body, we decided to visit the orphanage as one of the virtues of the beloved daughter of prophet Mohammed (SAW), so we came to exhibit that virtue so that, our brothers and sisters who are orphans will feel that love. If Fatima was going to be living now, this is the love she would have been giving to them,” he narrated.
He maintained that Ansur Imam Mahdi organization will continue to maintain the gesture and expand it to the other less privileged institutions.
On her part, Janet Ansu-Boahemaa, the Central Manageress of the Nyohini Children’s Home speaking to Diamond News, commended the leadership of Ansur Imam Mahdi for the gesture and appealed to other benevolent organizations to come to the aid of the children.
