Influential persons within NPP of the Savannah region are persuading me to drop my planned law suit against NPP communications director – Adam Mutawakilu.

Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency, Adam Mutawakilu has revealed that, influential persons within the New Patriotic Party and some elders in the Savannah region are persuading him to drop his planned law suit against the NPP director of communications for the Savannah region.

He mentioned specifically the Savannah regional Minister Adam Salifu and his deputy who are on his neck to let go their communications director Mohammed Issah.

Mohammed Issah at a press conference, in the heat of the missing Hulix Pick-up saga, claimed the NDC lawmaker and his boys knew the where about of the stolen vehicle.

Subsequently, a press release issued and signed by Dr Dominic Akuriitinga Ayine, Lawyer for Mutawukilu, warned the NPP communications director to apologize and retract the defamatory statement against their client within 7 days or face a legal action.

Speaking on Diamond fm a day after the 7 days ultimatum, the Damongo MP said his hard earned reputation is at stake but is still in discussions with some elders within the constituency as to proceed with the suit or not.

Earlier this month, it come public that a Toyota Hilux Pickup belonging to the Savannah Regional coordinating council with registration number, WR 3516-19 had gone missing.

The vehicle went missing on July 6, 2019 after the Savannah regional Minster Adam Salifu transited Tamale to Accra on July 4 and placed the vehicle in the custody of one Alhaji Suleimana Illiasu.

The missing vehicle is among the fleet presented to the Regional Coordinating Council by President Nana Akufo-Addo to assist staff with their administrative activities.

The Savannah regional coordinating council has since announced a GH¢10,000 reward for anyone whose information may lead to the retrieval of the White Toyota Hilux pick-up and arrest of the armed men.
